Who we are

Ballygally Community Development Association

BCDA was established with three main purposes at its core: To provide educational and recreational opportunities to promote health and wellbeing of the inhabitants of Ballygally and the surrounding area. To advance the health and well being of the inhabitants of Ballygally and surrounding area by associating with relevant statutory authorities and voluntary organisations. To improve the environment of the village of Ballygally and surrounding area.

BCDA regularly runs activities from Ballygally Hall for those living in Ballygally and the surrounding area from themed events to mark public celebrations (i.e. Christmas, Halloween, St Patrick’s Day, Coronation events, etc), community lunches and other food events, and concerts. The hall provides a hub for activities to be delivered to the entire community and offers many different types of exercise activities (dance, yoga, pilates, circuits, table tennis), recreational activities (bridge and meditation), skills development activities (Art, Irish Language, Flower Arranging, Singing) and children’s activities (ballet, storytelling, Scouts). The hall is also the centre for the local WI Group and 1st Ballygally Scout Group.
